Supplementary Regulations

 

The Standing Regulations for this event are Appendix 5, Schedule C of the Current MSNZ Manual.
Announcement and Jurisdiction:
The Ashburton Car Club is organising a Clubsport Advanced Circuit Sprint (Dual Car) on Sat 9th June 2018.
The event will be held under these Supplementary Regulations and the current National Sporting Code of Motorsport NZ and its relevant Appendices and Schedules, particularly Appendix Five, Schedule C.

Documentation / Scrutineering
The organisers propose to complete documentation and Scrutineering on 9th June 2018 from 8:00 am till 9:00 am.  Random audits maybe carried out throughout the day. Any late entries on the day must report to the Clerk of the Course for permission to complete documentation and proceed with the day’s events.

Entries
The entries open with the publication of these Supplementary Regulations.  The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry in accordance with the National Sporting Code.  Full entry fee must accompany your entry.

  1. Entries will be accepted from multiple drivers (max 3) sharing the same car. It must be noted on each entry that the car is shared, and with which other driver(s).
  2. Dual entries (two cars by one driver) will be accepted under the following conditions:
    1. The driver is to nominate his/her first choice of car for entry; the second car is not eligible for trophies, interclub points or club points.

      Competitor Eligibility

  • Drivers must hold a minimum of a MSNZ Clubsport or M Grade Competition Licence
  • A current MZNZ Affiliated Club membership
  • All competitors, shall wear safety apparel in compliance with Appendix Two, Schedule A – 4.3 of the current MSNZ Manual
  • Passengers may be carried in vehicles complying with Appendix 5, Schedule C, Part 1, 6.2 of the current MSNZ manual and must sign the passenger indemnity form at the line-up area before each run.
  • Passengers must also wear safety apparel in compliance with Appendix Two, Schedule A – 4.3 of the current MSNZ Manual

A minimum age of any passenger is 12years. Passengers under the age of 18years must have a completed “Clubsport Entry Under Age Indemnity and Consent Form” (MSNZ form CS010) or a MSNZ competition licence stamped “Authorised Minor”. Form CS010 can be downloaded from MSNZ website or will be available at the event.

 Vehicle Eligibility

  • Vehicles must comply with Appendix 2, Schedule A, as per the current MSNZ Manual.
  • Tyres as per Schedule A (slicks are permitted).
  • Fuel, competitors should be familiar with and adhere to the MSNZ code of Practice – Fuel, which is available on the MSNZ website (www.motorsport.org.nz)
  • No competing vehicle may exceed the 95db noise level limit. The Clerk of the Course and/or his assistant will be the Judge(s) of Fact in this respect.

Event Layout

Circuit Sprint (Multi Car), Groups of up to 12cars.
Each Group gets an Indian file (warm-up lap) to the Start; Cars are flagged away in pairs, pairs minimum 5 seconds apart, 3 or 4 laps, chequered flag finish with a cool down lap and return back to the pits.

9:10 am approx.       Indian File followed by timed runs, clean-up then results/prize giving to follow

Event Results
Run results will be available at the conclusion of each completed round. Time Keepers do not need to be distracted. Overall results will be posted at the conclusion of the event.

Damage to Property / Vehicle Recovery
Competitors will be responsible for the cost of repairing any damage they cause to property.
Vehicle recovery will be done as quickly and safely as possible but the Ashburton Car Club and any person(s) involved in helping with the recovery are not held liable for any further damage to vehicle or property (this is the competitor’s responsibility)

Servicing / Pit Area
All service and competing vehicles must be parked in the Pit Area, and all Levels Raceway Speed Limits and regulations apply in this area.

Limited BBQ lunch will be available

Results / Prize Giving / Social
Results announced and printed copies available, results will also be posted on the Ashburton Car Club Facebook page and website.
The venue will be confirmed at Drivers Briefing.
